You overestimate how many people are watching this series. Its a niche fandom. It hasn't grown or changed. Also Shamiko can beat x character, but she's a glass cannon. She's incredibly weak, but she has a wide variety of powers that if she was a smarter person would be very hard to beat. That's always kinda been the case, Shamiko is broken, but she has no battle intelligence to use it in an evil way. She could probably take over the world if she was 5 IQ points smarter.
Monmo's complete euphoria at just hearing Shamiko's voice followed by the crushing realization of the actual situation is just killing me. When/if the "Shamiko, what's for dinner tonight" scene gets animated I will probably die.
Her head thing being black is the moment her spirit had truly "fallen" to darkness. At that point she's entirely a lost cause, but too prideful to admit it.
