When's the last time a Mega Man game came out? MM11 4 years ago? Does DiVE even have a story to adapt? It'd be strange if they went back and suddenly adapted any of the untouched series for an anime adaptation at this point.

Would unironically want an anime of a squad of nobody Maverick hunter Reploids as they get fucking creamed one by one but only survive by the help of one of Magma Dragoon or some other boss before they turn to Sigma. We rarely see, if at all, what it's like to live in the MMX world, and it honestly sounds like a fucking nightmare for everyone involved. Plus that gives a lot of leeway for OC designs, deaths and development without being shackled to the "canon".
