the rape in Hellsing was more classy. there's one scene which sets up motivation for Seras character, and the other scene is a small flashback from Alucard's past. And IIRC in ultimate the rape scene was somewhat tact it was shot with seras looking from the closet.
it's different to a panning shot of an elf rape dungeon just thrown in your face for no reason.

It's blunt, yes, but narrative reason existed. Just like Nobunaga said in the manga, it was completely predictable to find things like that. Still, the pervasiveness of rape orgies in hentai makes it far less shocking.

Like I said. it's just an annoying execution you see it coming from a mile way because of course female elves in a gritty fantasy setting but they still have to beat with the face on it like a hammer.
If it was just mentioned and then cut to Toyohisa in the exectution square it would've worked better. when you are trying to have a ''serious'' narrative maybe you shouldn't evoke the feeling of watching some lowly hentai in the viewer but that's just my opinion and it's just one scene in the end.

Well, Hirano was a hentai artist once. He probably cannot help himself sometimes.
