lol but I don't. I just think he should have gotten more of a comeuppance, all things considered. And also more credit, but definitely more of a comeuppance. My point was that, it seems to me, part of the point Anno was making with Eva was that shit is just not clear-cut, or properly solved, ever. You just deal. Which is *why* Gendo got cucked by Shinji twice--essentially. But also why he cucked Shinji at least once by switching Reis on him. It was just never clearly presented as that for the characters, because it would be going off into the weeds a fair bit.
