worst gem

Dumb speedreader, gormy is best gem
>ghost is now an actual ghost
Ghost will be grateful to gormy so there won’t be anything to “deal” with

Dumb bimbo
Aechmea is going to use phos to get his wife pregnant

Am i remembering incorrectly; didn't Cairngorm stop doing the whole genderless pronoun thing? I remember something about Moon KPop Prince wanting to have a baby with Cairngorm.

Padpa could have filled their torso-holes with material from their hair, and it would have worked perfectly, and permanently; but they were too vain to ruin their hair dew. They were completely justified in this choice.

"he" is not a genderless pronoun
and also it doesnt matter because the early translations had male pronouns for all the gems so people just got used to that (and phos looks like a dude now)

Not to get all pronounfaggy in this thread but "he" has a long and venerable use as a sex-neutral pronoun for animals where sexing at a distance isn't easy, or sexless beings like robots. It's perfectly cromulent to use with the gems, who have no sex, without necessarily imputing some kind of maleness to them.

im esl and i was taught that he/him was default and gender neutral

That's usually for an unknown/hypothetical subject

like for example a rock?

Hey gemfag, we started a game on UE4 a while back, check your e-mails.

It's only in the past couple of decades that this viewpoint has been challenged and it's certainly not due to linguistic accuracy.

youre full of shit
he/him has always been the default pronouns but youre free to prove me wrong

Despite what people like to believe, singular they is perfectly acceptable and has been for a long time as a genderless pronoun and/or to refer to someone you don't know. It does sound weird if you use it too much though, so using it as a pronoun as frequently as he or she probably shouldn't be done. Doesn't really matter though because the Japanese explicitly uses "kare", which is male.

I've known people that unironically say out loud "he or she", and there's been a trend somewhat recently (don't know when it started) to use she as the default.

I meant that the viewpoint of he/him being the default is currently being challenged, a challenge that I also disagree with because I know it's only being raised in an attempt to further undermine societal norms.

go back to r/Any Forums

broke: correcting other people's pronoun choice
woke: using whatever pronouns you want and respecting others' ideas
bespoke: using the pronouns that'll make the most people in the thread upset

In the worst way you can imagine.

Shut up about the damn pronouns, you fags.

he/him stopped being the default when english dropped the masculine were- prefix from weremen and started referring to males with the gender neutral 'men', which in turn masculinized the previously gender neutral pronouns he/him
