Think about it. If she used projection, she would not have to worry about magic resistance and could hurt saber. Archer's basic sword projections had to be dodged by saber, which means she can't resist projection
And if projection can bypass MR, its not really useless like it is claimed to be.

Why would it be?
If medea could make a wand for it it can't be modern, because she would have to know about it.
She doesn't have to specialise, all she needs to do is make basic shapes. Considering that she is from the age of gods and better than any human mage alive, she should be able to create iron spheres/spikes atleast

Normally projection is absolutely shit-tier. Only Shirou had a body/soul super specialized to it to make it useful, that's why Medea want him/archer as tools for her.

Also, the wand used Shirou’s magic circuits to use, similar to Emiya’s dads circuits being used by Heartless.
Medea is basically running older software which lets her use stuff modern Mages cant, but because of that she explicitly can’t use modern mage craft or anything related to it.
