I'm interested in the discussion surrounding these images as I find them particularly peculiar
Why did anime staff include Carrot in those shots? None of them were in the manga. Many of these shots don't last more than a couple of seconds so essentially Carrot's inclusion in these scenes is unnecessary to pad time in what are ESSENTIALLY crew shots. So why is this?

Why did the anime staff make the active choice to include Carrot?
Do they know something we don't?
Is she joining the crew?
Is it a result of her incredible showing in the popularity poll?
Do the anime staff just really like Carrot?

It could be the latter two but that doesn't explain why they explicitly went out their way to include Carrot in all the crew shots. Surely including her in static group shots would be overkill if she wasn't joining the crew? Food for thought.

Maybe hey included her in these shots without considering the repercussions because she's so popular. Hypothetically she isn't joining but they thought they could push her in these scenes to start discussions so they've written themselves into a corner where we can clearly see that Carrot completely comfortable with the crew, but she seems to essentially be joining. Of course this is subtly apparent in the manga but in the anime it's glaringly obvious that she really likes these people.

She also has two filler scenes with Sanji, one being a relatively meaningful conversation between the two. Even in the costume scene she compliments "Chobro" and goes inside the gate with the remaining crew members exclaiming "We're going in too" and then cheering with Usopp. Even later on she is on the exact same wavelength as Nami when they decide to seduce the guards together. All of her filler scenes at Onigashima have been interactions with the crew.

The anime is making it really hard to imagine Carrot actually wanting to part with these people. Would it even be believable that the Carrot we see in the anime would choose to just leave the crew?

She won't be truly free until she completely stops trying to be Oden. Desperately trying to recreate Oden's journey just makes her a slave to the journal instead of Kaido- she should go out on her own journey, see truly new places/people that aren't already tainted with bias by having already read or heard all about them, so that she can finally become her own person.

It really isn't complicated bro. Who was the last Pirate King? Who last had the One Piece? The entire series is about Luffy trying to accomplish what Roger did. And every time he hears about him he perks up. The other characters constantly commenting that he reminds them of Roger is only a narrative device to emphasize that he's progressing in following in his footsteps.

You said he larped as Roger, that is simply not true. Luffy mentions his title, "Pirate King," barely Roger himself. They have similarities for sure, but he's not larping as him.

Luffy's basis for a crew and everything is what he saw from Shanks and his crew.
