I finally got around to watching the rest of season 1, and WHAT THE FUCK.
Why, why must it be like this? I really liked her... ;-;

All in all I really like this show.
Kirito, I mean Takuto, I mean Teruto is just edgy enough to make him look cool while also having that gap moe with his obsession of bread.
Although his fights could be a little boring or repetitive but that's really only because it's a seasonal show with 12 episodes rather than a longrunning one.

The mystery and worldbuilding are also good enough to base a story around. Shin Kyoto being a virtual city with its citizens being incubated humans connected to a system, and all that King in the Tower stuff, it's a cool premise and I like it when we discover new stuff every episode.

I do have 2 things that irks me a bit.
When Sakura left Teruto and Hiyori after she got the key and blocked them with a wall out of nowhere, why didn't the two of them try to chase her? They instead sit like two dumb ducks and grieves of Sakura's "betrayal". It's pretty obvious that she's going straight to the Tower, right? They should be able to figure out as much, no? It's just kinda dumb for me.

And the second one is related to above, how did Teruto and gang get inside the Tower when the key is with Sakura? Are the gates open for that long that they're still able to enter it? Did they use other methods?
Honestly I'm just nitpicking the small plot holes and even if they're a bit dumb I don't think it makes the show bad.
Kinda regret not watching this with Any Forums while it was airing, and same for the new season I suppose. But I am watching the S2 right now and hoping to catch up so I could watch it with you guys.

I wouldn't say popular but more popular than on any other English discussion platform I've seen (I haven't checked Discord)
