How well do you think a peasant militia armed with guns in isekai will fare against the kingdom's standing army?

If the knights can fly and they have no hotwitzer, it's over.

Can their ammo penetrate adamantite armors?

Where are the cannons? Shouldn't they make the big gun first, before the smaller ones?

Reminder that the elves are evil thus they need to be eradicated.

>only 2 lines of fire
>fired at the same time
Did they even try?

Where was all this "elves bad" shit come from?

Depends. Those look like matchlocks, which have a low rate of fire, relatively poor accuracy, etc. Utilizing the matchlock effectively required strong drill knowledge in order to enable volleys, rotational fire, and so on... and even if they had that, you would still be vulnerable to cavalry and motivated infantry with melee weapons without polearm or pike infantry to keep them safe in integrated units. So in equilibrium, I'd bet on the standing army, which could overrun the matchlock arquebusiers with cavalry or just march into them and slaughter them. At longer ranges their armor would be effective against early firearms, and up close they could just kill them.

Now, if guns have JUST been introduced, the peasants have a much better chance! Despite early guns many weaknesses, they had a large psychological effect against opponents who were not used to them, as seen in Spanish victories in the Americas. They could potentially rout the enemy based off the momentum of a good volley or two.

Reminder that guns have no use in isekai, where magic is a thing. The knight's magical lances are basically machine guns, but better.

What if those elves are in fact dwarves in disguise?

The era of cavalry ended with the emergence of guns. It's a simple fact.

*crossbows

So how do shark fin really taste like? Is it not delicious to first timers?

>crossbows
Nonsense. A sufficiently trained knights can knock an arrow away with his sword or catch it with his hand. Crossbow has always been a thing since before AD, for you info.

Pathetic.

>guns are unrivalled against humans
>don't work on monsters
So why don't the monsters rule the world against?

I think we need more unorthodox looking monsters. Orcs, trolls, goblins and dragons are boring.

Crossbows are too slow to halt a charge of cavalry and their reach is too short to attack them from afar. They will slaughter your crossbowmen before they can fire the third time.

Which is totally why they were banned

I recall having it once and it was okay. Depends on shark too i guess, great whites supposedly taste like shit because they eat all kind of trash they come across.

>great whites supposedly taste like shit because they eat all kind of trash they come across.
Huh, I thought they ate bigger preys like dolphins and humans?
