This was quite the depressing fact for me when I watched ep1 of Black Clover after reading Hungry Joker years before.
It's like the Yuki Tabata learnt that originality leads to failure, and decided to throw any originality away to have a long running series. I couldn't count how many shounen tropes were ripped off in that first episode.
And somehow...it worked? People like BC? It has an anime?
