Near the end of the Battle City arc, why didn't Kaiba just use Monster Reborn to revive Obelisk and tribute the two Blue-Eyes White Dragons to go for game against Yugi instead of reviving a Blue-Eyes and going for Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon?

Because if you use Obelisk's ability to destroy all your opponent's monsters it doesn't take away any life points. And then Obelisk would have gone back to the Graveyard.

The manga had a rule that reborn monsters cant attack during the turn they are revived. And also it treated Obelisks effect as an attack (with infinite attackpower).
The anime ignoring both facts obviously introduced a plothole.
Technically it does (in the anime), since Yugi had to discard a Kuriboh to negate the damage.
Either way the other answer is symbolism.

Sevens was a silly gag anime that hinged on its charm. I don't think its what anyone wanted but a pleasant change of pace. Rush feels like it wants lightning to strike twice. Contrary to its name its going nowhere fast, it's just been tutorial duels for ten episodes straight.
