Honestly while it was flawed it definitely improved on it in a lot of ways, Rachel and Endorsi were a lot more enjoyable in the anime compared with the "manga".
And while it's enjoyable the arc the anime covered is basically a standard "death game" that's been done to death, the premise is unremarkable and it's really the relationship between Rachel and Bam that carries it by being fairly unique

First season of the manwha was a masterpiece, second one was Good/Acceptable. From Season 3 onwards it turned to utter shit.
At the beggining the focus was at the slow process of climbing the tower, the mind tricks, the games, and the relationship between characters. Also the backgrounds were kino, like the one at Headon's floor with mural that seem to depict even Rak. Also Rak Wraithraiser was a true MC and had the lightspot he deserved like when he carried the team in the door choosing game.
Now Baam (I'll never call him viole) is just a Gary Stu, Rak and Kun are just drones orbiting around him (Rak got the worse part becoming just a comedy relief character) and the story has gone to shit. There is only "battles" (consisting just in flashy colors), and mindless action.
How promising was at the beginning and how shit it has become.

The characters in the anime showed their flaws too and it's not a complete series, there's plenty of time to explore them in more detail through the rest of the series, if you're upset it wasn't more frontloaded then it seems like you just want fast paced shit without a lot of depth, maybe fairy tail is more your style

user he confessed he took a break to iron out the plot, which is normal, most authors do it. They might have the key points of the plot in mind when they start a manga but the specifics and character building along the way is rarely concrete especially with a large cast. The anime is the ideal version, he said so himself. Hopefully we get more seasons so you realize how much better it is
