The plot for this manga hasn't moved forward since chapter 157, when they recruited Hakari. This chapter was released on September 6, 2021, which means that the plot hasn't moved forward in nine months. What the fuck happened?

But it did. Megumi found the angeru and the Gege fulfilled his responsibility as a shounen mangaka and gave us a ton of fights and the current one has yet to end.
It's been fun, the stakes aren't as high as they were in shibuya since most of the characters are dead but it is by no means boring or bad imo.

The chapter where Yuji just instantly admits responsibility for Shibuya before the lawyer guy was fantastic, absolutely surreal you would prefer we hadn't gotten that.

That doesn't count because it would hurt OP's feelings to be wrong.

Most shounen mangaka never learn basic story structure. They're artists, not writers. Their editors aren't trained writers either; they try to help with the story but they very rarely sit down and work out long term story structure.

The basic idea of "Wot if there was a big battle royale with ancient sorcerors and spirits and modern weirdos?" is good, but the story doesn't quite tie it all together.

This is why 3 month hiatus has to be mandatory after a while like the forced black clover into hiatus.
It helps them think and also draw without the deadline pressure.

That was the only interesting part in the whole arc.
