Some volumes of the english LN have been reprinted a few times to tone down censorship. I don't have the details though.
As other anons said, the LN is the best way to experience MT. The anime has good production values but skip a lot of details, obviously. The manga is not very good.

Anime is also good as far as adaptions are concerned.
Manga is bad and should be avoided until you’ve completed the original LN after that you can read it for the sake of fan-service which is its only merit.
