>Want to get a hit of innocent teenage romance

>Check out new romcoms
>It's either boring mellow shit or degenerate fetish shit with literal cuck MCs.
What happened to fun chad MCs, Tsunderes and Belligerent sexual tension?

>want to watch some romcom
>watch some old rumi stuff
>the romance never progresses, the characters never develop
>just the same gag for 200 episodes

>>the romance never progresses, the characters never develop
>Inuyasha and Kagome have kids.

Time to marathon.

Holy SOVL

Not a romcom

Wait for the Ayakashi Triangle anime. Suzu is definitely a chad MC.

It's not fun. We can't self-insert as a guy with confidence or someone who's upfront to women. When he does that he stops being a relatable character and instead becomes an enemy.
The conclusion of romcoms is making the girl do the heavy lifting and he can't believe his luck. Then it could be you.

I've been watching miyuki lately. Real solid stuff.

First of all, that's pathetic. Second, older MCs while confident chads are usually too proud to be upfront about their feings(like Ranma) which where the fun comes from.

literally kill yourself, why would i want to self insert as some lucky loser who may be lucky but at the end of the day is still a fucking loser with no growth or development instead of being inspired by some guy who's got to deal with the consequences of his actions

Old romcoms were written for teens/20 somethings with compelling stories that, despite being a bit fantastical/contrived, were and are still worth watching because you want to see the MC have character growth and live his best life, and of course you can appreciate the girls and the wacky situations they find themselves in.
New romcoms are written for NEETs to self insert since they straight up can't relate to the kinds of characters they had in old romcoms, so now the MCs are fucking losers who no one would actually date IRL and just by circumstance wind up with girls with zero standards.
TLDR just watch shit from the 80s and 90s

Get the fuck off Any Forums you filthy piece of reprobate cancer. You are literally watching anime wrong

im happy you won't get to pass on your genes.

I'm not even going to give you a (you).

>fun chad MCs
Never existed. Whether chad or hetare, they would always get beat up by the girl in most romcoms
>Tsunderes
They never left
>and Belligerent sexual tension
You can't seriously want this back. Is your whole idea of romcoms colored by Rumiko Takahashi?

Most of those chad MCs may be "upfront to women" but will never do anything about the romance themselves. They are constrained by the exact same issues that hit romcom protagonists today, they were just more ecchi about it but arguably worse in terms of progression

I feel like people nostalgically look back on them because they fulfill an otaku fantasy of their own but they don't want to admit it.

>because you want to see the MC have character growth and live his best life
MCs weren't having character growth in those. Only the dramatic ones that actually wanted to grow their characters like Kimagure Orange Road or something

>fun chad MCs
Lol

NTA
>fun chad MCs
>Never existed. Whether chad or hetare, they would always get beat up by the girl in most romcoms
It's true that they get beaten up, but they're still chads at the end of the day, since they find ways to overcome those obstacles.
>Tsunderes
>They never left
True but the old ones were usually better written (especially the male ones, those actually did leave)
>belligerent sexual tension
>You can't seriously want this back. Is your whole idea of romcoms colored by Rumiko Takahashi?
This is literally how real life is. Have you not gone to a nightclub ever?

Why? I'm a nice guy

>they would always get beat up by the girl in most romcoms
Your confusing slapstick humor for genuine violence and MCs taking them to be cuckish. Typical nu-Any Forums behavior.
