Slimebros...

Final Fantasy is just a Dragon Quest reference

is that way for your consolewars

DQ is way bigger than FF in japan

Don't force your interpretation of the thread on others.

nintendo > snoy

There are Chocobo references in a lot of isekai, but FF games are so different that you can only reference one game most of the time

Actually in Reincarnated as a Slime the Slimes are supposed to be a mix of Slimes and Oozes. In magic-rich areas they are "weak monsters" like in DQ, but in magic-poor areas Slimes becomes super aggressive and vicious, absorb a lot of stuff and become reminiscent of Oozes instead.

Because DQ has richer history and more recognisable IP in Japan.

because dragon quest is more sexual

You mean Wizardry, but you probably wouldn't notice.

literally the only two references you get in isekai from DQ are slimes and "demon king"

Because Dragon Quest is significantly more popular than FF in Japan?

Like, "DQ games legally can't be released on weekdays because of fear too many children will skip school" popular

Because Dragon Quest is better.

Demon Kings have been a thing in Japan way before DQ.

OHNONONONONO

that's an urban legend, square enix does that as a courtesy because it was an issue but it's not a law

Everyone plays DQ. Even people that doesn't play videogames.

And the menu/inventory that's in all of them

Dragon Quest was released first in Japan. FF was released just to compete with it.

There are still many recurring themes like the crystals, the job classes, various recurring items and weapons, and so on.
