It’s literally just Gurren Lagann but with more fanservice. It being a flavor of the month was more than it deserved.

I think it might be a generational gap sort of thing. The people who were apart of the weeb and internet zeitgeist around that time grew up, so they don’t really talk about it in the internet anymore. And zoomers don’t really watch older shows. For an average, terminally online, teenage anime fans standered, this is ancient.
Comparing it to gurren Laggan isn’t fair since nothing could even come close to it.
