why did Kill la Kill not have a lasting legacy on anime? 7 years ago it was super popular and now not a single anime references it
Why did Kill la Kill not have a lasting legacy on anime...
because it was mediocre
her power up was too pornocious to be a legacy
studio trigger shoot themselves in the foot with that design
it got referenced in a cartoon fairly recently
It’s literally just Gurren Lagann but with more fanservice. It being a flavor of the month was more than it deserved.
I think about those 2 sisters and their giant asses every day.
My wife.
I enjoyed watching it while it was airing but in hindsight it was pretty shit. Especially after the skip in the middle.
MY WIFE
My wife Ryuko and I offer our sincerest apologies at how ugly your wife is.
I think it might be a generational gap sort of thing. The people who were apart of the weeb and internet zeitgeist around that time grew up, so they don’t really talk about it in the internet anymore. And zoomers don’t really watch older shows. For an average, terminally online, teenage anime fans standered, this is ancient.
Comparing it to gurren Laggan isn’t fair since nothing could even come close to it.
NO, my wife
Because just like the rest of Trigger's shows, it's all style and no substance.
Why are you posting on Any Forums, Mako?
I miss this series
Unironically too much tits and ass for it to get mainstream. Show this to the average joe and they'll think you're a fucking creep.
It was just Sonic Adventure 2, complete with the killer soundtrack
If it really was SA2, I got ripped off since there definitely was no Chao Gardens in KLK.
I loved TTGL but I couldn't get past the first episodes of this.
Because like every other anime trigger has touched, it was shit that was trying to ape gurren lagann without understanding what made it good or work.
Kill la Kill is made out of references, so if you tried to reference it you would just end up referencing something else.
Same, but I dropped it because of Mako. Anyone that actually found that annoying cunt charming deserves to be put down.
>they even added a gurren lagann reference in LWA
what a hack studio.
there have been quite a few Satsuki clones in other works
There was Rolling Girls, but nobody watched that shit.
