Pacing was all over the place for the raid. A lot of straw hats had their matches set up and then immediately sidelined without seeing conclusions while Luffy kept throwing himself at Kaido. A lot of time was spent jumping between various characters and dragging things out for dramatic effect.

This is your reminder that is theory is highly accurate: Yamato will NOT join the Strawhat crew but will instead join the Strawhat grandfleet and these will be some of the members on her crew. She said that she wants to unleash the samurai of Wano on to the world. She can't do that if she's a member on Strawhat crew and Luffy and Ace said that she's strong enough to be a Captain of a crew. Plus Vivi is confirmed as rejoining and Yamato can't take that spot. This is honestly the best course of action. Both Yamatofags and Carrotfags win. Yamato is for cover stories.

I think this arc was one of the few times Oda just had too much going on. Too many characters, too many plot threads, etc. Things were shortened that people wanted more of (Tobi Roppo) and then other things were dragged out that people didn't really care about (Orochi/Kanjuro, Ice Oni, etc.).
Overall it's still a great arc, it's just that in this case there was just so much happening that people wanted it to end after a while.

It was way too long. Too many characters. He's rushing it now (look at Kaidos flashback, a few panels and each was him teleporting decades, or look at what happened this chapter with the scabbards and Yamato teleporting around). It had too many characters and subplots. Even now we need another 15-20 chapters to wrap it up.
Why do Yamatofags always take merchandise or "shilling" as proof of her joining?
