I only got back into One Piece recently, and I'm not fully caught up with Wano. But from what I understand, this Yamato character only showed up about 70 chapters into the arc? And she only became a relevant character when the climax began? Is it actually likely that she'll become a new crew member?

Sorry to be picky but giant dramatic conflict deeply connected to the character's history and aspirations is infiitely cooler and more impressive than subtle personality changes in the stray panels they're lucky to show up in. While the former moments do happen frequently in post-timeskip one piece it's almost always about island one-offs who are never joining the crew. It's great to see them doing well after the major parts of their arcs but it would be better to see them have more focus in the plot.
