I still fail to see any wrongdoing on her part

I still fail to see any wrongdoing on her part.

Nice template thread, phonetoddler.

The only thing Homura did wrong is believing that she did anything wrong.

Homura is what you get when you allow indecent homosexual thoughts to go unpunished.

She didnt do anything wrong

She did lots wrong. That's what makes her interesting.

her original wish was fucking stupid

>essentially does to Madoka the same thing Araragi does to Kiss-shot
>years of bending over backwards justifying her choices and claiming Rebellion is the definitive "good ending"
The new movie will create more asspain than 3+1.

It’s like you missed the entire point. Selfish is a better word for it by the way. She didn’t love herself and she relied on others to justify her existence. She wanted to be the one to stand up and save Madoka herself because Madoka brought color back into her life. Homura at the start of the series is a timid girl dealing with crippling anxiety and a heart problem which doesn’t allow her to do normal things. She has no self confidence. She finds out Madoka is a magical girl and in her eyes she’s essentially a figure larger than life. She’s somebody Homura wouldn’t even think would notice her and Madoka sacrifices her life to protect Homura. A being with almost zero self worth is saved by the sacrifice of another. (See the lyrics to the song colorful) who is in her eyes now elevated to that of a god and for once this gives Homura purpose and meaning in her life for once. She now has a reason to live and she doesn’t want to simply wish Madoka back. She want to save her herself because in her eyes that’s what Madoka deserves and it’s her way of trying to pay her debt to Madoka. The problem with all the characters in this series is they try to save others instead of seeking out what they truly want and putting themselves first or loving themselves. Sayaka does this as well. She could have wished for the boy she loved to just love her back but instead she wishes to heal him and Hitomi asks him out first.

I'm still waiting for her to do anything right, actually. It's been a series and a movie so far, will she ever do it?

and how exactly this invalidates the fact that her wish was simply idiotic?

Madoka here is the anomaly because what she truly wants is to save others. That alone is what she wants. She risks her life to save a cat at one point. So while all the other girls are broken in a sense Madoka is the only one of them who loves and values herself while doing it. The only times Madoka is unsure of herself is when Homura tells her not to fight for others which goes against her nature. She’s not afraid to fight for what’s right and won’t make roundabout wishes to grant some selfish desire she has. Her wish is direct and true like her arrows. While all the other girls are lost Madoka knows the path she needs to take which makes saving her impossible for Homura.

My point is actualized in the ending theme where you see the other girls lost in the darkness. Madoka is the only one that sees the light and actively makes her way towards it while others perceive her as walking into darkness.

Pls listen to the lyrics to the song colorful and don’t take them at face value. Really think about what they’re saying.

The song colorful has legendary foreshadowing and insight into Homura’s character. The entire chorus takes on an entirely new meaning in the last verse. A lot of people mistake Homura’s battle to be against the incubators or even against Madoka. Realizing that her battle is against herself is what separates a lot of fans in this community and this is with all the characters. They’re all their own worst enemy. They don’t appreciate or love themselves so they can’t properly love others. There’s also a ton of hidden meaning and Easter eggs in the music video that go over most fans heads.

She broke her promise to Madoka in the finale episode. That was her biggest wrongdoing in the entire franchise. Most fans think it was a good thing though not realizing what had actually happened.

Sayaka
>while I got you here can I ask you something? When you find the witch that made this labyrinth what are you going to do with her?

Homura
>well obviously I’ll…

Sayaka
>You’ll what? Kill her?

Homura

Homura knows a lot more about what’s going on than you’d be led to believe if you don’t pick up little things like this.

For starters Rebellion wouldn't have happened if she had kept her mouth shut instead of trusting the space cat.

>essentially does to Madoka the same thing Araragi does to Kiss-shot
Yeah and Kizuragi is a chad just like Homu. If it turns If Rebellion is just Kizumonogatari then Kaiten should be akin to Bake.

>comes to purify Homura's soul while dressed like this
Slut was asking for it.

When will they pull an Evangelion and have Homura realize how unhealthy she is and marry a man?
