This just means we'll never ever see the ending of HxH so it's not that good a thing.
Most high end mangaka are pretty free, even if it's just to hand off their series or have a billion assistants draw for them while they rake in the cash.

Let me tell you why hunterchads rile up the average smooth-brained shounenshitter so bad. Simply put, it's because they're right and because shounenshitters can't argue with them. For example, imagine if a Fairy Tail shitposter started spamming Any Forums for a year about the greatness of Fairy Tail. Nobody would a bat an eye. Shounenshitters would laugh it off since they do feel superior to the Fairytard. With Hunter x Hunter, this false sense of superiority transforms into a deeply instilled inferiority in their subconscious. When a shounenshitter sees a Hunterchad mock them, it angers them beyond words, because it's attacking that false sense of superiority. The only method of coping would be to namecall, falseflag, start pointing out miniscule flaws in the series (that exist in abundance in their own series), all the while calling HxH fandom "toxic", "insufferable", "shitposters", etc etc… Truth is, all anime and manga fandoms are toxic, insufferable, and shitposters. What made Hunter x Hunter stands out from the rest was that it was backed up by actual good writing, actual good paneling and page composition, actual intriguing characters, and a very diverse storyline. This is by the way not a phenomenon restricted to anime and manga, or even entertainment. It's in everything. From sports, where fans call their successful rivals "insufferable", to american zogbots, war criminals and (((they))) calling Hitler a mass murderer. When confronted with truth, people simply fucking sperg out.
