While I completely agree, Gourmet world did get foreshadowed all the way from the beginning of the series so it's not like he could avoid having them eventually go there. The issue was that he was spreading his ideas too thin trying to go for 7-8 huge arcs so the weekly chapters suffered as a result. Don't really know what he should've done there.

The Bambina fight was legit great but the rest of his arc all the way up to it was way below pre-gourmet world.

The issue with Gourmet World was that we got stuck in fucking Blue Grill and then on ANOTHER for an unreasonable amount of time. If we actually got to see the acquisitions for ATOM, NEWS, EARTH, etc. it would've been way better. AIR and PAIR were highlights of the series for me personally.

I hated the AIR arc. Not only was there way too much shit solved with "it's gourmet luck bro, it just werks", but jumping from toriko getting absolutely decimated by the horse to beating the shit out of it in just one asspull felt like they were really doing the kings cheap. The safe houses they used for travel were also lame.
