how come anime/manga regularly fall back on tropes and cliches?
The fact that there's template characters such as Yandere and Dandere is weird
How come anime/manga regularly fall back on tropes and cliches?
Because Japan is a small island that knows very little about the world at large. So its entertainment mostly just references previous works of entertainment make there or whatever western culture does make it into their collective consciousness, mostly Hollywood movies and popular musicians.
I am in love with that women
It's what people like. Stop making these threads you retarded teen.
>How come [medium] regularly falls back on [its own clichés and tropes]?
It's the way things go, it has always happened with every storytelling medium since the dawn of recorded history
The entire west (amerika) has been in a creative void for nearly two decades now. Everything is capeshit, vampires/witches/ghosts/werewolves, book adaptations, remakes/reboots/reimagings, or "deconstructions" of popular genres. Nipland doesn't have a monopoly on being uncreative.
because it works
You say that like tropes are a bad thing, which they aren’t as long as they’re wisely used to tell the story.
it is though
Than every work of fiction is bad since they all use tropes.
Name any story from any medium that you consider original and let's see how many tropes/cliches it contains
>it's another 80 episodes before they hold hands anime
>it takes place in highschool
Tropes are literally in every story in some shape for form, they’re nothing new at all. Your favorite shows or stories must have a bunch of them.
>though
Conquered nation that lost its god after WW2 ended.
>template characters such as Yandere and Dandere is weird
women are like that though as well as the all the other deres
>Yandere
>women are like that though
What?
This is true. But the west has degenerated from a previously existent standard of quality. Anime never really had a cultural hit series.
This.
It's not necessarely a problem that anime uses tropes. The problem is that their tropes are very bloody autistic. Why is there a bloody high school setting in every anime? Why are all the fantasy worlds running on shitty J.R.P.G. level systems? Why are all the male characters such gama males?
>Why is there a bloody high school setting in every anime?
Because its aimed at highschoolers retard
Literally asking why young adult fiction is full of young adults
