Shiori Experience

what does Any Forums think of this absolute masterpiece of a hype machine? this manga seems to have a quite small reputation in vietnam and not much else (thanks my vietnamese scans for chapters 61-83, even if i couldnt read any of your translation), though from the pictures that i've seen, this manga does have quite the reputation on nipland. anyway, the best music manga, fuck you beck

this manga suck balls

Redpill me

From what I read I really liked it.

really great panelling and art. great story and really smart uses of metaphors and hyperbole in enhancing the feel of the music. amazing characters, though can seem cocksucking the "27 club members" at times.

To me manga about music is one of the most pointless things ever. It's nice if they get an anime adaptation and there's actually sound, but otherwise it's just people doing stupid poses and audience acting like they're having an orgasm.

new chapter fucking when

This. One really bad downside to Music oriented manga is that you can't hear shit. It needs the reader to imagine all of the song that they're playing and even more if its some different version of it. Also still i can't believe they put Kurt Blowbrain in this

To me manga about fighting is one of the most pointless things ever. It's nice if they get an anime adaptation and there's actually movement, but otherwise it's just people doing stupid poses and audience acting like they're having an orgasm.

i really tried to like it but it was just motherfuckering boring.

I love it and my day is better whenever a chapter drops, but I understand what anons are saying about music manga. Manga is my main hobby, but I'll agree that music manga is an outlandish combination.

Shiori makes it work fairly often though, author just doubles down on the silence and has entire mute chapters, so the reader is left to imagine things happening at their preferred pace, with those chapters having no mob characters going "sugoi, they're so fucking good" and instead just having those mob characters rocking out. The artwork is fantastic as well, there's a lot of energy packed into the spreads.

To be fair it takes a lot of skill to make action look good and not just something like you said. Pic is Kouya ni Kemono Doukokusu

yeah, it kinda sucks that this manga suffers from the music pose thing, especially with how this manga portrays vocalists. Though i prefer having to imagine the music rather than getting a lackluster soundtrack after all the "uoh this song is epic!" dialogues

Checking on bakaupdates and it seems to be like 5 volumes behind with only one chapter every 6ish weeks getting translated

Is there any hope of it catching up? I liked the first ten chapters so far

seems like the chapters get released in volumes, and the release between vol 17 and 18 was around 6 months with 4 chapters on it, so if the scan teams kept their monthly update on the manga, it would catch up at least within 2 years or so

>It's nice if they get an anime adaptation and there's actually sound
>Actually expecting the team to produce at least three original songs that can hypothetically get platinum
>Actually wanting to ruin the adaptation with lukewarm half-assing original songs
Better stick it to my imagination then

I really liked the concept and the first few chapters but as soon as the band started growing beyond what Jimi had, I just couldn't continue. It's a dumb reason to drop it but the band having 7 members when Shiori is supposed to have Jimi Hendrix behind her it's just too fucking stupid for me.

This. Every single time. Even the one with decent J-rock like Beck.
At least the upcoming Bocchi isn't a serious drama so nobody would expect a lot from the anime music.

I'm surprised this manga is still ongoing. I first heard about it many many years ago.

Replace music with cooking manga and you got the same thing.

You're still a virgin, too.
