The one loss Koga had is probably going to be explained in this tournament. I think it's very likely he lost to another supernova currently in the running.
I do feel that Koga is going to win the tournament though, wouldn't he have had his "omg I can't believe I lost in an official match :( i need to get stronger" arc offscreen considering he straight up lost that one B-list match.
That being said shouldn't Koga beating up Xia Ji mean he could do the exact same shit to Yuzaki (both real and fake) considering Xia was his master.

They also bothered Lolong for exactly one day and then confused the shit out of Koga, Rihito, Kazuo, and (You), the cherished reader.

No everyone just let him go, they're both still monitoring him but as long as he doesn't leak info or get captured by Kengan, the Worms won't do anything, and as long as he does try to kill anyone from Kengan, then Kengen won't do anything.

How exactly does having a jobber tournament prove anything to anyone. Why would the worm care at all

Calling it now. Cosmo and Saw will be the semi finals for Koga and Ryuki, who will face off in the finals. Koga will just barely beat Ryuki and earn his spot in KAT 2.

I still say they could've had Koga in the Purgatory arc so easily. He could've fought fucking Terashi and had a stupid eye gimmick mirror match and the ruleset from Purgatory is perfect to give Koga a W. e.g. ringout or knockdown.

Where they REALLY fucked up was not having a mini Purgatory PPV arc where Koga and Ryuki got to watch multiple matches over a vacation day period. They really should've done this when they first introduced Yumi, it would've made us care more about Purgatory as a whole and give them more character + some matches.

Hell, it would've been nice to see Lolong vs Toa there.

the least they could do is give an exposition on the purgs during the plane ride where yamashitakazuo gives a tell all. then during the fights we could have actual fights with sparse cutaways instead of needing the full backstories told mid fight.

Himuro is obviously getting one win against someone because Sandro really seems to regret making him that much of a joke but who is he losing to? Koga who he punched in the face? Ryuki who rushed at him and refused his training? Kim Jang Gi?

Remember when it looked like the Worm was going to have some high-concept sci-fi plan involving all their vast investments in neuroengineering, cloning, and martial arts technique theft and/or refinement? I liked those days.

they should have had a 2-3 chapter intermission after Naidan died
would have let the purgatory fighters have some more screentime and would have been a good chance to mention the "oh yeah this was totally a worm honeypot thing haha" factor that Goat mentioned. it also would have been a decent excuse to shove koga into the plot considering he already got shanked by people with worm tattoos and then all of a sudden, a mongolian flexes his worm tattoo, traumatizes koga's best friend, and then commits suicide by thumb
