I too was pleasantly surprised to see this. They may actually complete the TL and begin work on the sequel.

The more this goes on the more i lose intrest. I liked it cause it seemed fairly grounded in reality. Sure hes a bad ass superkiller but peoples motivations made sense people acted like people. They dont seem to make sense anymore.
The live action movie hit me hard when it turned into a 100man shootout. Why the fuck does everything japanese with assassins turn into lets use these assassins to kill other assassins?

It's really just Yamaoka who isn't acting logically, and in the broad-strokes he was just effectively planning a Coup against the Boss. He's really gauging if his guys can kill the boss and his loyalists if it ever comes down to it.

It hasnt gone fullshitshow but all the signs are there. I just hate this constant bait and switch bullshit when the original premise is soild. Its like john wick. John wick 1 simple. John wick3 great scenes absolutly fucktarded plot.
