What makes you drop an anime?
What makes you drop an anime?
boredom, mostly
and it's not "dropped" so much as "don't feel compelled to watch the new episodes"
Male MC
Last one i dropped was shaman king for skipping shit in the remake. Either make the thing you were paid to make or fuck off
If I don't enjoy watching it.
Lost of interest.
Even if it's good i'll drop something i don't feel like watching it anymore.
>T.ranny
Women are boring as fuck and if i want to see fanservice i better watch porn.
Usually boredom. A few times, there's a scene or a reveal or that just ruins it for me, although that might just be a notable breaking point. Looking at you, UQ Holder.
Running in the OP
I started dropping most anime after visiting Japan for a few months. The Japanese are nothing at like their anime counterparts and that bothers me. The only animesque thing I saw was when I visited a park one day and ran into a bunch of hobbyists. People getting together and enjoying their obscure hobbies together. That group of people playing the windpipes together felt more like anime than all of the other people and tourist traps I saw.
Not saying I didn’t love Japan, it just made me fall out of love with all animanga except for Real.
Nothing, I have the compelling need to finish something before I can forget about it. Even if it is a shit story, I still need closure.
I have never dropped an anime
Your reason for liking anime was retarded in the first place.
my dopamine levels dropping below baseline for more than 30 minutes
Reading a summary doesn't cut it for you?
Nope, I need to see it unfold properly. Heck, sometimes a summary may even give me motivation to continue on, to see how it exactly unfolds. Yes, even with stories I don't like anymore.
You know those video games where there are millions of collectibles to get by running around a city, even if it means nothing for the story? Unless I feel like I got 100% of them, I will continue to have this nagging feeling that something is unfinished.
If it sucks.
>The Japanese are nothing at like their anime counterparts and that bothers me.
and Americans are nothing like their cartoon counterparts, are you retarded?? Anime is entertainment stupid, you stop liking anime just cuz real Japan isn't like a FUCKING CARTOON???
I’ve never “dropped” anything. Some stuff just isn’t as fun so it’s harder to get through.
Obsessed Any Forumstard, is that you? Vast majority of male MCs are insufferable faggots.
>turns into a harem anime
shield hero
>needless fan service
food wars
>X nonsexual is so good female character starts to orgasm
also good wars
>faggots or tranny characters
too many
>princess character MC is forced into interacting with
kujikeikoji whatever that high school gambling one was with that one bitch idk Kaiji was better.
also food wars, couldn't get past the first episode.
Boredom (Wano), genericness (Guilty Crown, Aldnoah), obnoxious fanservice (can't really explain it though, I watched both Free! and KlK but Darling in the Franxx I dropped on first ep), arcs resolved by a deus ex machina (changing the future with wishing energy!), stories going to shit for the sake of le epic tweest (oh by the way sir protagonist there's another higher dimensional alien and it's female so you can fuck it to defeat the gender ambiguous one, and also change the genre of your series from BL to trash), female characters being treated like shit or non humans, story focus going to characters I give zero fucks about, etc.
Do you ever pick up anything?
I only watch things I know I will like.
characters with one-dimensional personalities
I automatically assume anyone still following MHA has a negative IQ
I haven't dropped a single anime in the 30 years of my life, even when I find a show beyond awful I finish it, it took me 8 months to finish Yosuga no Sora for example, now that was painful.
That's very sad.
I also remember momentarily dropping Escaflowne because of the twist on Dilandau's character. It was awful. If there are writers in this thread don't make a character then make a plot about how they were never real. People get attached you know, that's just cruel, worse than killing them. I was so mad. If it didn't happen on the second to last episode I would have dropped the thing entirely. Dilandau was 80% of the reason I watched this.
>I started dropping most anime after visiting Japan for a few months. The Japanese are nothing at like their anime counterparts and that bothers me
I audibly fucking kek'd
Impossibly powerful autism is emanating from these lines alone.
I dropped it but plan to catch up eventually. If only to skim through the pages and learn what happened to Hawks and did he manage to have his happy ending where he fucks his husband.
