Am I the only one who finds this relationship really...weird? Takeru idealizes Sumika because she has become the symbol of his old life. It was his coping mechanism to feel alienated from the world of unlimited / alternatives. Yet in the end he fell in love with her just because? It seems like a piece of narrative is missing
Yes I'm still seething. I can't believe Meiya lost. But it has nothing to do with it, right? Right?
In Alt Takeru "fell in love" with her because of literal brainwashing. She basically erased all the worlds where he fell in love with other girls until he spawned with pre-concept of loving Sumika.
You're not, it's weird, Meiya a best. I think that feeling's intended too. Alternative doesn't really try to make you like Sumika, what with her lack of development, screentime, character interaction, and 's elephant in the room.
Henry Baker
She literally raped a beta with her enlarged clit. She's a disgusting alien raping wormwhore.
Daniel Cruz
Don't care, she's a raped whore.
Ayden Bailey
Pretty much. It's a weird combination of his feelings towards the extra timeline being amplified to the max by means of constant looping, his paranoia over losing loved ones also reaching critical point, the plot pretty much forbidding you from ever forgetting about Sumika while dangling the possibility of going back in front of you the whole time, and guilt over constant reminders of how much Sumika happened to like him before being BETA'd. As you say, Sumika pretty much embodied his desire to go back, but it wasn't that simple, yet I'll agree that the whole thing was highly manipulative.

Josiah Green
She's not nearly as bad as wormslut
Eli Hill
Yeah, as other have mentioned it's sort of forced on him. In a way even though in extra they're good for each other, in alternative she really has no chance without that, so it definitely feels off and that's probably intentional. It's just pure suffering that we didn't get to have a Meiya route, even if I have no clue how that would have been resolved I just love her so much that I wish we got more.
Eli Morris
Sumika is the main heroine and wins, simple as that. Is not rocket science, meiya may be overrated but in her overratedness she is still the second girl and loser.
Matthew Gray
I actually think Sumika is fine. It's the game that pushes her too much and leaves her underdeveloped in Alternative. It's her role that is bad, not Sumika herself.
Ryder Cox
>It's just pure suffering that we didn't get to have a Meiya route We did, though. Alternative is the Sumika route because the Sumika route is the only one that ends in victory. That's the whole point the 00 Unit. It sucks and I hate it, but that's Muv Luv, baby.
I get that but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have welcomed even a doomed route. I know they cut a ton of character development from alternative for various reasons, so other routes/side stories could have been possible. Closest we have is TDA but meiya's not going to be happy there.
Jaxon Foster
Does it matter who "won"? They all die and Takeru forgets what happens in the BETA timeline anyways.
Tyler Morales
Sora=Sumika. Both cucks.
Jeremiah Gray
There's always Extra and it's ilk. Thank god Extra exists, man. Imagine Unlimited/Alternative without that to fall back on.
>Closest we have is TDA but meiya's not going to be happy there. You act like it's ever going to come out. Though yes, I'm dreading what they're going to do with her in Resonative. There's no way it's going to be pretty.
