if you still need subs you just haven't seen enough anime yet

Shit meme but watching one piece with fansubs back then was an experience

Remember when OPs and EDs always used to get karaoke subs?

I'm not gonna learn another language to boost my faggotry level. Sorry to break it to you.

Last time I watched a fansub like this was KLK

Unironically one of the things I miss from fansubs. Some of those things were works of art, it really was a labor of love.

The other is real typesetting, although I have seen it done on commercial subs.

I miss tl notes that explain japaneseisms that I'd never pick up on

English subs with different color font for each character is my favorite

Why would you need an excuse to rewatch something, faggot?

With the advent of auditory translation software, "learning" another language will soon be an irrelevant skill.

there was a french fansub for Dragon ball
that did that

Dubs are fine.

English VAs suck. It doesn't surprise me if the Nip ones do too but I don't speak nip so I can't tell.

i watch my anime muted with subs because english VAs are shit and i hate the japanese squeaky voice

I like when the subs match the hair color of the person talking.

when I first started watching subbed anime I had a hard time telling voices apart so fansub groups that had different color subs for each character really helped me follow who was talking.

I wasn't talking about learning another language, I just find that I can watch anime without any subs and understand most of it just fine.
some words and sentences just stick with you over time.

Saying this a few years ago warrants for a mob lynching. There are only a handful of good dubs because they managed to get people who can actually voice act.
