How come they only make Anime from LN’s but never you know real Japanese novel’s. I think Spring Snow by Yukio Mishima could be a fantastic show. Like a much more mature Hyouka except instead of mysteries it’s got a tragic love story.
How come they only make Anime from LN’s but never you know real Japanese novel’s...
>le meme japanese buttfucker
they do make anime from actual novels by non meme authors, tatami galaxy and shin sekai yori for example and an adaptation of tatami galaxy sequel is coming out this year
there's also Kokoro and Galactic Railroad of course
They do. Also the use of apostrophes are possessive, not plural.
After what Mishima did...I would say that it would be quite hard to adapt the works of a man as "peculiar" as him.
They have adapted the Monogatari series, which in comparison with others of its genre it shouldn't be considered a light novel at all.
I'm still sad there is no anime/manga adaptation of "Lolita." It literally was the book that started a genre.
Guin Saga
Both Paprika and Perfect Blue fit the bill, donʼt they.?
But then again, those are movies, but for TV, the only ones I know are SSY and Tatami Galaxy, already mentioned here, but there should be more, right?
It'd just be humbert monologuing all the time while being self obsessed
they do? even pretty recently actually
But what if they made it ot from her point of view.?
O boi.
The real answer is because the publishers of classic literature almost never invest in anime. If you took a sample of the consumers of Japanese classic lit the demographic would be nothing like the consumers of late night anime. There is a huge crossover between light novel consumers and late night anime consumers however. Also people here tend to think light novel means it has a simple story, but just like the shounen seinen distinction, literally the only actual factor is the publishing line.
Most novel adaptations are movies. The last novel TV adaptation I can remember off the top of my head was Kyouko Suiri from 2020. That was a novel. Snowblood might have been a novel too I don't remember.
Really sad that he's most famous for his worst work.
Look say what you want about Mishima and his politics but he could write some romance.
> Really sad that he's most famous for his worst work.
What are you referring to?
I haven’t read the novel actually, just read people writing about it, but isn’t the whole draw of Lolita that the moral of the story is completely relative to whether you interpret Humbert as being a truthful narrator or not?
There's this series called Aoi Bungaku. It only adapts novellas and short stories, though.
LoGH was originally a series of novels. While the original anime was an OVA series, and the re-adaptation are mostly movies, both ended up getting televised.
If you are an imbecile, sure. Humbert's entire thing is shifting the blame to "Lolita" who isn't a even real thing. He made up Lolita in his mind and never gave a shit about Dolores. The people who think there is some "redimible" aspects about him probably haven't read the book or ate up the movie's portrayal.
Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei
a Pale Fire adaptation by old shaft would be unparalleled
