Why were the mid 80s to early/mid 00s so good for shonen manga? What's it gonna take for us to get that level of kino again?
Golden Age of Shonen Jump
Honestly, I feel like a lot of the ones today are just copying off the old ones without thinking of what made them great.
Is this about Shounen Jump specifically or shounen as a genre?
The real reason is the audience, modern Japanese kids like anime Vtuber stuff more than shounen manga if I remember correctly, somebody explained that in these threads
>kino
Kill yourself
Only SD is good out of these
Only OP is good out of these
> no gintama
Cringe and unbased
It bodies everything in your pic
And you just believed them because internet strangers are trustworthy?
Older shonen took inspiration from all the shonen before them to create their own story, newer shonen are just making Naruto again.
>kino
Kill yourself.
And all of them are still better than shit like JJK or Black Clover. Really makes you think
No black clover shits on everything in pic related except golden age OP
I've been rereading this post for nearly 5 minutes and cannot for the life of me, figure out what "SD" is.
>one piece is still fucking running
>every week hackda introduces more and more filler characters
>every week the art deteriorates further
>every week luffy is revealed to be more and more of a chosen one
>oda introduces ten questions for every one he answers and never, ever progresses the plot
Please, just let it end
Slam Dunk
they were so good because didn't pander to the three Ws:
weebs, westerners, and women
>oda introduces ten questions for every one he answers and never, ever progresses the plot
This is what i hate the most for any finished manga, loose ends. There comes a point where you start answering lingering questions, and stop introducing new worthless shit. For OP i felt the perfect moment would have been right after the timeskip, it already had a lot on its plate to deal with. Its looking now like the manga will end with tons of elements and concepts that are left completely or simply drag on for an ungodly amount of time, neither of which are really good.
left completely unexplored**
That can't happen with One Piece though.
Because it's set up so the ending itself is the answer to all the questions.
i.e. Naruto becoming Hokage doesn't answer any world building questions.
But when Luffy finds the One Piece and we see it then that's, in and of itself, the answer to most plot related stuff.
what the fuck is your problem man?
fuck off
what's yours?
The reason why most things suck is because your peers as well the next generation lack imagination, or a drive to produce anything really, just consume.
(You) are the problem
>your peers as well the next generation lack imagination
Sadly this is true
