I always felt like their Bodies or rather torsos or whatever was originally supposed to be a lot more gruesome and horrifying than what it actually got revealed as

I'm thinking of reading, what am I in for besides: Berserk with a proper ending and ladies with big swords?

Berserk, but without a human protagonist, without Griffith, without Casca, without a reason to care about the world or any of the antagonists, without characters that are more than a number of a special technique/haircut to differentiate them from their 100 other clones, without meaningul tragedy and without catharsis

That's just normal Berserk post-Eclipse.

Fair enough. But at the end of the day, the reason Berserkfags still stuck with the story was because they held onto a vague hope of some sort of closure one day. The unresolved Guts/Griffith/Casca tragedy was still in the background no matter what else happened. This isn't the case with Claymore, because there's little reason given to give a shit about Priscilla.

I just wanted to see more eating humans stuff.

This, Claymore had a really good chance to develop Raki as an interesting antagonist for Claire when he started learning from Aisle and Priscilla, plus the 7 ghosts shit could have been taken somewhere if they didn't take so long to take the organization down

Shounen version of Berserk, more monsters, less interesting characters. Fun. Good ending.

the thing is you don't give a shit about Priscilla besides hate, it comes down to how much did clare and teresa meant to you as characters. personally I loved the manga from beginning to end.
