Im not that gug, but i read webnovels and its just so damn refreshing, you can see the world getting built, good power system, the MC's entire thought structure, and its so much longer
I literally can spend 3 months reading 1500 chapters for 10 hours a DAY!
there is just so much content and the story keeps getting mature and more developed the more the series go forward

you wont understand this until you read, without long character monologues, understanding the mc's motivation, his train of thought, his personality, without long text, evrything is so superficial and childish

in webnovels, characters kill, they can rape, they can just slaughter, the remove from the roots, they would never let an enemy run away, whats even more interesting is the character actually thinks, most of the time mc is always weaker than the rest aside from a few like lucky things he stumbled upon, that gives him a fighting chance against the stronger opponent, and mc uses them effectively, he can fail, nearly die and barely escape

Like in webnovels, they dont shy away from life, like a webnovel im reading right now basically explain the entirety of human society, how systems work, everything is interesting and juet now muuh shonen or seinen battle shit

Fights with words although doesnt have animation can last for so loong, have so many thoughts and information, and the more you read the more vibrant it looks in your head, i mean at my peak which after 2 hours of reading, i just get so immersed that i see fights as i see anime, also fights are literally always not the main point of the story in webnovels or some lightnovels, shonen shitters have to have a fight every 10 min otherwise they quit, i mean i can read like 100 chapters without fights, thats about 4-5 days of 9 hours of content without any fight and i wouldnt mind, if its well fleshed out, the character thinks and tries to accomplish things

Manga, but some battle series work much better as anime. Both mediums have their place
