I'm rewatching the anime from the beginning and it's glaring how much better the show would be if they cut like 80% of the tertiary characters. The sweets kid, the pervy comic relief, invisible girl, electricity retard, aux cable girl, tail boy, all of class 1b- they're all just filler that takes away from the interesting bits of the show that take place in the school setting

BNHA's is retarded and Deku is garbage MC. Why? Because the author is a hack that doesn't understand what "show, dont tell" means.
Deku being quirkless was supposed to be a big deal that prevented him from being a Hero in a world every almost everyone has one. Instead, Hori the hack undermines this key premise almost instantly by filling the "elite" of 1A with characters with garbage quirks that dont actually make most of them superhuman at all. Guy with tail? Invisible girl? Sugar-fuelled retard strength? None of that makes them capable of dealing with guns let alone villains with actually threatening superpowers.
Reminder that Deku is and will forever be a shitty fanboy that refused to actually work for his "dream".
