Something I've realized bothers me about the manga is that Murata is afraid to let the characters be flawed. Saitama can't be apathetic dude looking for a good fight,, he has to be a hero who wants to save Garou from his inner darkness! Garou can't be an edgelord trying to shortcut his way to world peace, he has to be a misunderstood softy who would never actually hurt anyone! The S-class can't lose pathetically, they have to be fine and easily save everyone! In the webcomic the characters have flaws and that makes them more compelling. In the manga, they're all just so damn perfect.
