Why is Oda/everyone propping this dude up as a noble/fair warrior? He's giving monologues about Luffy being equal to great warriors, giving him tips and offering him a drink in battle. This isn't someone who has opposing ideologies who has gained their opponent's respect, he is an asshole and needed to die a dog's death.
>subjected to population to poverty and famine so that he could mass-produce weapons >willing to sacrifice his subordinates >constantly drunk >abused his only child relentlessly
Kaido is honestly no better than the Tennryubito he opposes.
I gave up after the nika shit Just want to see the end
Jeremiah Wilson
hes really strong
Cooper Hughes
Kaido was trying to make the world a better place in the only way he knows how to do. He grew up only knowing war and he thought he could fix the world through war, something the modern world can relate to. He's a realistic villain. He's tough on his child because she can handle it. She's an oni, different from normal humans. Yamato can take a little beating. Without it she would be too weak for the crew anyway.
Angel Green
Why is Kaido such an underwhelming arc boss? Characters like Luffy or Croc felt more threatening despite only getting half of his screentime
Christopher Martinez
>catching up by binge reading >love Kaido >caught up to now start waiting week by week for new chapters >absolutely despise him
Nathaniel Martin
psychologically too, anyone she tried to make friends with was killed. He's a fucking dipshit.
he had no substance, he was a brute, he had no true idelogy. I just strove for power.
Aiden Hall
>why generic shonen villain doesn't make sense
Jose Nguyen
Because there are no stakes in this fight since you know that Luffy will win. Remember when Kaido one-shotted G4 Luffy with his club. Current G5 Luffy tanks this shit like nobody's business.
Blake Anderson
>Because there are no stakes in this fight since you know that Luffy will win.
ehhhhh.......Luffy has lost before with no follow-up >Aokiji >Magellan >Smoker probably could beat him now, but got his ass handed to him and never followed up
So it honestly was a 50/50, the 3rd K.O.could have been it, and Blackbeard could have finished it up.
Flamingo has reason and rhyme for being the way he was. Kaido was just a fucking brute.
Cooper Moore
For comparison, Donquixote CHADflamingo
>rich populous that isn't subjected to know that their own family members are gone, they are essentially spared from feeling loss >will do anything for la familia la rosa >always at an elevated state of mind, playing chess for fun >tried to raise an orphan into his own son, who then betrayed him, yet was still willing to give him another shot
Kaido dindu nuffin. He gave rise to the Joy Boy his first mate and his daughter long awaited. Literally became the greatest villain to create the greatest hero, and you didn't trust his master plan.
Levi Peterson
the roles should've unironically been flipped, Kaido should've been the jobber warlord and Doffy the calculating Yonko. Oda wasted such a great antagonist with an intricate backstory on some shitty forgettable arc.
Isaiah Gomez
>fight Oden >their fight gets interrupted and he wins by blindsiding Oden >could let Oden heal up and then fight him again fairly >instead kills him when he is weak >then spends the next 20 years crying about how he couldn't finish his fight Kaidou made no sense as a character
Daniel Howard
based
he will be back
Gavin Edwards
He made perfect sense as some with bipolar disorder.
Alexander Garcia
wuddya mean.
Ian Price
>characters being conflicted and having mutually exclusive things they want to prioritise that they keep having to choose between makes no sense are you a robot?
Liam Richardson
Kekdo is a larger, his honorful warrior mentality is contrived and based on the people he admires but always falls short to. Even his life's ambition is built around acting as the gatekeeper for a prophecy about a greater heroic man
In reality Kaido is an insecure drunkard brute who knows nothing but destruction and abused his daughter into becoming a schizo tranny who admires the man he cowardly killed more than him
Elijah Mitchell
*larper
Tyler Jackson
He's a hypocrite. If he was really that much into honorable warrior stuff he would asked for a rematch against Oden
