Referencing Sakura out of all Nart characters
Actually bold of them

this is still the best anime reference I have ever seen in a western cartoon

>Sakura
>Bakugo(?)
If they choose these two to reference in their show then I don't think I want to watch it.

are you lost?

And not only that, the Sakura design from Boruto instead of the more recognizable Part 1 or Shippuden design.

I rarely see Any Forums discuss Harlock.

Easy one
Akira

Is that an Inuyasha ref?

Congratulations!

Now inuyasha is a woman... How I would like an artist to change a lesbian ship for a straight one. To show how hypocritical LGBT people are.

If this segment wasn't animated by Trigger then I give due props to the animators for being clear and genuine fans of their style and tropes.

Not really, women love sakura and bakugo. Teen girls like the latter but despise the former. Source: anecdotal evidence

In fairness it is a video essay for writing fanfiction, though it'd be much more accurate in this regard if it were Koga and Inuyasha embracing. The amount of female dykeshippers is still just a minuscule part of the overall horde of fujos.

It's still held in a position of reverence, you may get one or two contrarians who go into massive buttfrustration when they feel there isn't enough denigration present for the current topic but that low number is thanks to the lack of exposure compared to other works of similar era like Gundam or LotGH.
