It actually worked for me up till 2016 or something. Then things changed and nowadays I have the polar opposite taste of Any Forums it seems and drop everything the majority happens to be into and in most cases enjoy the series that get slow threads that die soon or threads that live but don't have more than 15-50 users.
Few exceptions exist, but they are always more of the "hidden gem" series that then attract up to ~100 anons, not the big hyped shows.
