The light novel doesn't exist anymore as it got dropped by the author.
Rewtached the anime and then read the first volume about a month ago. Rarely rewatch an entire anime so that just goes to show much I liked it I guess.
Pretty good stuff, the anime really improved upon the LN after all. The OST is also REALLY good, I think that was what made me want to rewatch it actually, because I came across the OST.
I got to get started on volume 2 sometime.

Rabbit Girl is "the evil one" because she's working with a demon that actually wants peaceful coexistence with mankind.
Mountain Saint is "the evil one" because a demon was implanted in her daughter. Unless she kills a hero, the demon will detonate and kill her family.
Helmet Guy is "the evil one" because he betrays the party to simp after Rabbit-chan.

Basically, all of them are "the evil one" at some point in the story or another. All of their crests are "real", and the "fake ones" were created by the demons because they have the original saint from thousands of years ago held hostage.
At the end of the last book, cat and vomit girl break away from the rest of the party because nobody trusts anyone anymore.
Everyone is morally questionable, nobody can be trusted. It wasn't a bad series, but the author literally wrote himself into a corner.
