i flipped thru this episode as i havent watched one in a long time
still has all the same issues
terrible quality, "dbz" style sound effects and stills just flashing back and forth
awful "effects" of just random slashes of color
how do you people watch this, how is the anime not higher quality with how much money OP makes

Imo it was very good for one piece animation of fighting scenes. Something’s with Kid and Law “powering up” were oddly dragged. Like law fingering the air for no reason before using room? But I feel kid felt overpowering and menacing having all of the scraps creating a huge scale.
Killer looked like he did the most damage which was sick. Kid I think with conquerors would actually do heavy damage but he’s still behind so the grip move didn’t do shit but his suplex was sick as fuck. I wish Kid got more damage in. With his power awakened and with conquerors I believe he has the most overpowered shit. Especially with how important magnetism is to navigation. He could just lead people to him and then blow up the ship with a metal shard. But whatever just gotta wait for the gun blast move on big mom.
Law moving with the stones was amazing. Gamma knife looked sick. Luffy moving in the big mom lightening shot was badass. And the animation of luffys reaction to the worst gen captains arguing was hilarious and well done.
To me this episode also proves ZKK people are randomly up their own ass. This episode solidifies why that opinion exists and no one can deny the obviously oden parallels with Zoro. Also the difference in killer deflecting in a more rugged style versus Zoro having a more skillful deflection of kaidos attack was a very well made comparison.
Last thing of note for me was kaidos movement. When luffy hits him and he falls back flipping around to land on his feet. That was sick. I love dbz animation when done well and it reminded me of some actual choreography.

The sound effects are the best part. The sound of killer and laws metal is like ear candy. You want a silent black and white film?

It did look good stop trying to act different. If this looked bad then 99% of one piece is absolute garbage in terms of animation. It objectively looks good and one piece isn’t known for actual fighting choreography.
