The absolute state of WSJ

>One Piece has reached the lowest point in its publication history by threating a villain hyped for over 15 years with the same dignity as Bluto at the end of a Popeye cartoon
>Sakamoto Days is one of the few saving graces of modern jump, but has very limited anime appeal
>MHA ending in a few months after having ended almost every single plotline it had left in a disappointment
>Jujutsu Kaisen is in constant hiatus despite being Jump's greatest hit, it seems like not even Gege wants to finish it
>Elusive Samurai is a complete flop despite from coming from a very experienced veteran
>Black Clover is almost entirely forgotten and even its anime was axed to animate a manga that ended over 5 years ago
>Blue Box is the only recent moderate success and is also kinda niche for Jump due to it being more in the realms of SoL and romance, so it clearly lacks a demographic to appeal to
>Akane is too recent to decide, but seems like it might be another Blue Box
>Yozakura is basically a relic that has managed to survive 3 years solely due to almost everything new being complete shit
>PPPPPP is a third manga also on the Blue Box spot, although it does have more Shonen elements
>Earthchild is just trash
>Me and Roboco is not the worst gag manga ever, but also far from living up to Kaiki or Gintama
>Mashle is on the same boat as Yozakura (while being just a bit better) but also ending and just 2 years
>Witch Watch just spends its time meandering around without a plot or improvement on its mediocre quality
>Highschool Family is basically on the Roboco camp of "it exists"
>Ayakashi Triangle is a pretty standard Jump ecchi, save for the fact it has not picked anybody wanting to adapt it
>UNDEAD UNLUCK was a shogakugan winner and had one of the strongest first arcs in recent Jump manga, but was allowed to meander and rot to the point it might be axed
>Ayashimon, Doron Dororon and Protect me Shugomaru!!! should all be axed
Give me ONE reason Shueisha should not fire EVERY editor in Jump

Doron will save Jump.

>Black Keked got axed to make room for Boruto
It's just like when Bleach was cancelled for Naruto SD. kek

We have clearly seen a massive shift in the writing style used for MHA ever since the tail end of the war arc. We have had nothing but unsatisfying character or plot line conclusions.

- Mirio
- Midnight's death
- Izuku's self destructiveness
- 1st and 2nd user "conflict"
- Twice's death
- Class reactions from being in a WAR
- Mr Compress (subject to change)
- Nagant has seemingly despawned
- Stars & Stripes

this is not the same series man

>>MHA ending in a few months after having ended almost every single plotline it had left in a disappointment
Bruh he isn't milking it to show the entirety of all three years of deku's high school life? That's weak

>>One Piece has reached the lowest point in its publication history by threating a villain hyped for over 15 years with the same dignity as Bluto at the end of a Popeye cartoon
God I don’t know how people can defend this “toon force” shit, kek

It really needs to go back to the basics and reshape the market, bring back what it truly means to be a shonen series.

I'm sure there's dozens of Dragon Balls, Saint Seiyas, Yu Yu Hakushos and similars applying but they keep getting denied in favor of more artsy shit the market supposedly wants.
Would the ones I named above even get approved today?
But yeah. The magazine needs to become edgier and full of epic action series OR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF THEM, GOOD ONES. Right now there's no flagship unless you count One Piece.

I acknowledge it's bad writing but I love Luffy for how goofy he is and Pegasus Toon deck was the coolest shit from Yugioh to the point millions of us have been trying to play Toons for 20 years despite them being shit irl.
Those 2 mix together greatly.

Shit writing, but I can have fun with it HOWEVER the real issue is Wano as a whole, Wano is drop worthy, in fact I had already dropped OP I just returned to see Toon Luffy

This is Hori speaking through Deku

It's not bad writing at all when it's at the core of what the series is. You don't need to appease narutards with chips on their shoulders when Oda is doing something good for once.

why do you care so much about a fucking magazine instead of individual manga? Most of the works in there are trash

>its anime was axed
Why do people keep spreading this lie

Is this the new copypasta?

user, I complained for a fuckton when LUFFY BEAT KATAKURI and I maintained for a while that Luffy wasn't TRULY stronger than Katakuri and he'd win the rematch if he tried to actually kill Luffy from the start instead of playing around.

The fact that Luffy now got a Resurrection that puts him at Yonkou+ level just breaks the series.

He was at Yonkou level before that, did you miss the sky splitting scene? Anyways it isn't even about powerlevel autism, it's about the series returning to the thematic peakness that makes the series so fun to read.

the thematic peak of trying to make a 1000 chapter epic out of 7 minute tom and jerry cartoons

Yes, if you can't find anything to enjoy about it you were never a fan and would probably be upset if the 1000 chapter epic ended with everyone having a goofy party.

I love a good railing on Want Pissers but Yonkou isn't even a good title. The ones holding to it were two dinosaurs ready to go to the grave, an amputee and Teach.

There's stronger people out there for sure.

Jump Square and Young Jump is where is at

you just want to be angry about One Piece arent you OP

Yeah, MHA was the easiest shit to milk but Hori doesn’t have a brain

100 chapters for school Year 1 (main villain Stain)
100 chapters for school Year 2 (main villain Overhaul)
100 chapters for school Year 3 (main villains LoV)
200 chapters for Pro Hero Adult timeskip (main villain AFO)

That’s 500 chapters easy but the series is ending with under 400 chapters and will go down as the biggest underachieving Shonen in history

if you don't like this, that means those 1000 chapters you read were just a waste. All those years... so it has to be good. It has to. IT HAS TO.

We need to dispense with the delusion that One Piece can't sunk cost fallacy its way past anything at this point.

It's always been shit, you're just finally starting to develop taste.

>why yes i wasted my time reading a headcanon version and now im upset it turned out to be wrong
