Every time in the past few years that I've made a template for OC and posted it (character in a show holds up a screen/paper, cut out the relevant portion), no one else does anything with it. We used to be able to fill entire threads just off something like that, completely separate from any discussion of the show. And that's just the low effort template stuff, high effort OC is pretty much confined to the waifu draw threads, a few drawfags, and stealing material from twitter/discord/wherever the fuck it is that OC gets posted because it is no longer Any Forums that is the nexus for such things. That's how it is for a lot of the other big boards too, all of the defining traits of the good old days now exist in other communities and what gets made there is reposted here. Even with something like raiding, Any Forums, Any Forums, and even Any Forums throw out complaints of organized discord raids. That means those discord groups now carry more of the spirit of the original Any Forums than these boards.
