Yes, but wan piss niggers wont admit to it

Just read up his whole youth because there isn't a single indication he isn't a gary stew.

No because his biggest flaw was being a fuck up, he was a chad but because he was kind of stupid he fucked up and ended up trusting Oda and Kaido to keep their word.

>everyone loves him anyways
>his "flaw" is actually portrayed as being honorable to a fault which barely counts as a flaw

I've been kind of catching up on op since the joyboy shit, who the fuck is this guy?
And why was a character who is apparently like yonko+ tier introduced only at chapter 900?

do you not realize that's actually a telling point in gary stus

he's been dead for 20 years

Kinda hard to be a gary stu when the bad guys kept winning and eventually killed him.

>wan piss niggers wont admit to it
He is usually pretty universally shat on by anyone. I've yet to see anyone defend how blatantly and annoyingly he was wanked.

Yes. The last two chapters were horrible, but Wano has been a disaster for a long time now, and this fuck is a large part of the reason

Being gullible to believe a pirate and a shogun who has been making people suffer would keep their promise is a very big flaw.

Oda sure as Hell didn't portray that way

But same goes for pretty much every post-ts leader desu (looking at you King Riku)

Yes, my biggest gripe with One Piece is how it consistently jacks off royalty. Any arc with royalty in it is almost entirely focused on how great they are, how everyone has to help them, how hard their life is, ect. But this seems to be more of a Japanese cultural thing that something Oda in particular is guilty of.

>Oda sure as Hell didn't portray that way
Really? Pretty sure after he made a fool of himself to save people's lives only to get him and his retainers boiled alive? In the end it got him shot in the head, a gary su would have never died in the first place and before all of that he was so stubborn he was kicked put of his father's cabinate and was disowned. Oden had a lot of flaws that most of his people didn't like.

Not as much as Moon Key :D Laughy is now.

Part of being a Gary Stu means he is the main character the story focuses on. So there is that.

>Everyone singed as he died
>Everyone loves him 20 years after he died

Oden dancing was portrayed as him sacrificing his pride for others not him being an absolute retard who led his country to ruin

It wasn't even known until after his death. Being a Gary Stu means you have to still be ALIVE or when they die they are brought back to life even stronger.

>barely counts as a flaw
>turns his country into a Mad Max wasteland for 20 years

I don't think so, but the other anons didn't get his actual flaw. The point of his story was that as great of a leader as he was, he didn't share his burden and dream with his followers, abandoning them and leacing them in the dark several times. This small flaw was a part of his tragedy. Luffy and the Strawhats are supposed to overcome this, providing a better example of the bond between leader and followers compared to Oden and the scabbards.

He is but one aspect of a bigger whole, remember:
>Odenwank IS Samuraiwank
>Samuraiwank IS Kozukiwank
>Kozukiwank IS Odenwank

And all three of them are Wanowank, AKA the railroad from PH onwards

Portrayed as Orochi and Kaido being EVIL and not as Oden being dumb by the narrative
