It's cool when it's inspired in terms of style, like most shonen do with buddhism. I guess going a step further and analyzing the themes is also interesting. But as an author you will soon realize that religions are basically sects in their final forms and don't offer themselves up for interpretations. :vomit::anger:
Putting the real life people that made those religions and actually presenting them as humans with flaws that achieved a lot of power by influencing and manipulating people is based though, since you can convey a lot about the way people strive for power.:think:
