When Oko realized finding the secret room is a test by Gan'an, it seemed like a puzzle that could be figured out, and making Kaguya have a clue proved her a worthier successor to Gan'an than Oko. But now it's completely negated by this reveal. Kaguya isn't smarter than her brother, she just happened to remember something she saw as an infant.
