He'll get another chance to give us big girls

Debonair was amazing but the series just wasn't very good. He needs to stick to drawing thicc muscle girls and pair up with a more talented writer.

How does a series with girls that got that popular get axed so quick, think of the legions of bland shit no one remembers that got no fan art and no attention at all that at least got to the late teens or twenty chapters, with designs like that he should have gotten to twenty chapters drawing two pages with the girls and scribbling pen on the next 14

Character design is good but the story was too generic. Honestly, Jump remaining as succesful as it is is just inertia at this point. Jump Editorial hems so many battle shonen into being as generic as possible.

The people ogling the girls aren't necessarily voting for it.

shitty dyke, deserved the axe

many such cases

High Fantasy or something like Red Hood doesn't fit Shonen Jump because of that. Makes me wonder why they bother running the series at all.

It's fair. He should have stuck to cool adventures like he's posting on twitter instead of listening to his soulless editor and going to a fucking magic school acceptance exam arc.

Author seemed genuinely excited about the concept.
>first chapters set up a journey with the two MCs
>All of a sudden he has to do some gay exam to join the hunter's guild or whatever
You just know some dumb fuck editor forced the author to do this nonsense.

>instead of listening to his soulless editor and going to a fucking magic school acceptance exam arc.
Why hasn't Shonen Jump realized that everything that editor touches dies? Fucking MHA is ending early because of him too. The dude is so incompetent that he killed their cashcow.

Authors, especially new authors, don't really have a choice on whether or not they listen to their editors. Only people at like Oda, Kishimoto, and Togashi can tell them to fuck off. Toriyama was having to deal with editor interference even at the latest stages of Dragon Ball after it had become a smash success. Same with Tite Kubo

He was a complete noob, of course he'll bow down to his senpai. Such is the nip life.

What is this?

Shadow of the Colossus

Nothing's ever suggested Tori's editorial changes were anything but voluntary.

Pretty sure MHA's author got told by the editor to turn All Might into a bishounen and the author just doubled down instead.

Toriyama is different, he respected one of his former editors so much that he would call him up for advice and listen to him while ignoring his actual current editor, so he absolutely had the power to ignore his editors, it's just that he knew the value of good feedback

reminder to everyone that coombait does not save a shitty story

>gets pushed out of his comfort zone
>writing quality drops
>axed
>spends last chapters making a meta comentary on the nature of published fiction
It was fun watching the author vent his anger this way.
