ITT: Subvert anime tropes

>isekai church advocates for genocide of non-humans for they are all the devils creation
>they are completely right

That would be pretty cool; I'm bored of the "monsters are the good guys even though they kill people" trope.
I also like the idea of an isekai where its the protagonist's personal hell

>"tsundere" elf genuinely hates the MC
>MC, versed in isekai tropes, genuinely thinks the elf is actually tsundere

It exists and it called Warhammer Fantasy. Demi humans are legit monsters of the dark gods

Not isekai, but that's basically the Elfen Lied manga in a nutshell.

>refugees are told that they have to go back

warhammer 40k?

I swear the popularization of that trope is to be blamed on that one DEEP anime with all the magical gay kids and the rat guy

Is the anime not the conclusion of that manga? I don't remember the show at all

I feel like I read one like this but it might not have been an elf

Yeah; I've heard of that. Good on Warhammer because there is something unpleasant about not letting monsters be monsters

This is also cool; a lot of tsundres seem too act over-dramatic for a girl who secretly likes the protagonist. Maybe the girl who hits him and yells at him really does hate him and for a good reason; might make for a mystery

The anime only covers about half of the manga, rushes through what it does cover to the extent a main character and the reason for the title is removed, and completely changes the tone of the series from an edgy deconstruction of harem manga full of mood whiplash to a pretentious brooding emo pity party. They basically end up having polar opposite messages.

Fuck you, Woobys doing her best

>the isekai world is ruled by a demon king
>the demon king just wants to go home

It's less of a trope and more of a cultural thing. Girl which hits the guy and yells at him "loses face", if she is being genuine she should do it once (or few times at most), and then cut the contact with him completely.

>MC in battle shonen manga cant save everyone. Must choose between his friends or innocent people(if thats the choice).
>Chooses his friends, and even willingly kills innocents to save them

>I also like the idea of an isekai where its the protagonist's personal hell
That does exist, albeit maybe not in exactly the form you were thinking of.

Thats no subvertion. Just seinen manga

Making a not "evil fantasy race" without reducing it to "faceless monsters which just want to do evil" is actually pretty hard to do. Even Tolkien never managed to solve that dilemma efficiently.

*Not 1-dimensional

>Slavery is common place
>MC actually does something to stop it
