In the beginning I was lukewarm to them, but grew to like them as the show went on and I got invested in the new story, but then started to sorta dislike them when Sotsu neared its ending and got progressively worse. I can't say which are technically better, but in my mind the Deengurashi ones represent a better story so they happen to win out.

The DEENsigns were better for the creepy factor, they looked much more alien and thus more scary.
They look too slick and sterilized in SotsuGou, and I have mixed feelings on Watanabe's designs. The girls are cute but Keiichi looks far less chad than he should have.

I didn't like new K1 at first, but it grew on me. K1 is supposed to be some 14 year old dork that studied all the time, Deen was probably too chad. Even the gentle, soft-spoken Satoshi looked like a chad in DEEN
