The web series must be dead or on suicide watch if this is happening. I mean it isn't hard to believe considering the show was never good to begin with. The only reason it had any success was due to Monty's fight animation and it being released by RT. If it wasn't for both of those two things no one would have watched this show.
Trailer already looks far better than anything RT could make, which isn't hard considering RWBY was Monty just using other people's MMD models and passing them off as his own.

SHAFT: "Why haven't you fired them?"
RT: "We would but they have been around for a long time and they have enough dirt on us so if we fire them then we are screwed."
SHAFT: "Ok. in that case they are not allowed to have any input in this show and if they try anything we will put them in a white room with a chair for them to sit in."
RT: "Why?"
SHAFT: "That is what we do to employees that are worthless but we can't fire."
RT: "Oh, we call that the Joel treatment."

Monty died and Shane, who was the number 2 animator worked his ass off to finish season 3. By the end of the season he was burned out from all of the overwork. Not only that but his wife divorced him. At that point he wrote a letter saying how much RT sucked and left.
With no Monty or Shane there wasn't anyone else who could fill their spots. A smart company would hire someone to replace them, instead RT pulled out the whip and tried beating the animators harder, hoping that would get the animators on Monty's or Shane's level. All it did was break the existing animators even more.

The last thread ended with a discussion about the writing. Monty only wrote the fight scenes and the others the stuff around it. Now it baffles me why they didn't at least wait until all fight scenes for the show had been finished, that would have made it way easier to connect everything and write around them. But that would have ALSO required planning the plot beforehand, and might have resulted in entire fights getting scrapped.
