Exactly why do authors keep making these characters, and then killing them off with >power of friendship ? What is the point? It sends the opposite message. That being a braindead, idealistic and delusional >Genocide is..le BAD! character is somehow good despite being completely irrational.
Why not make the villain actually have bad motivations? This is all done to demoralize the sane people isn't it? It's utterly absurd.
He isn't right. Elidians are a bunch of extremist faggots and walking weapons. Even their King who saw the error of their ways should changed the target od opression from others to his own peoele. Elidans are a danger to the world and Eren proved it
Christopher Rogers
It is because Eren, Floch and the Yeagerists, alongside Armin and Eren, represent two clashing archetypes, ideals and philosophies inside Isayama. While intellectually, he understands that the most rational course of action is to defend Paradis like Floch does, Eren is meant to convey his hatred of everything that is cruel and unfair, to take arms against it. But also, part of Isayama, really, deep down, wants to destroy everything, as some school-shooter sort of fantasy, hence the "I was born like this", "I don't know why I did it" asspull. On the other side, Armin represents his emotional side, which he wishes was the superior and dominant one, and so he conveniently alters the story so that he can come out on top. There's no more logic to it. Isayama does not want to accept it, but deep down he feels like it and can not truly express it, he hates his "Eren" side, which is why he humilliated Eren in the final chapter.

"Eren, Floch and Yeagerists, alongside Armin and Eren" I really messed up there, didn't I?

Actually, in a weird way, I don't think you did...

Correct thing isn't necessarily good thing. What cringevengers tried to do is a good thing. Although Isayama just sucks.

its a sign of shit writing when the author accidentaly makes a good character with believeable goals but since it wasnt intentional he has to kill him fast before he gets in the way here floch was just too good of a character but he didnt kill him soon enough and now he ended up being the best written character in the show but I guess we got lucky its either this way or end up with character assassination like the rest of the crew
Daniel Powell
>represent two clashing archetypes This. There was no thought to the avengers motives or reasoning the writer just went FRIENDSHIP! and winged it
Brody Phillips
Yeah, I think SnK is shit and the ending was shit too but it's amazing how people miss something as obvious as this.

>when the 'villain' is arguably correct Because they never are and contrarians just like to pretend otherwise for internet attention
Blake Phillips
Because they aren't right and the only people who think they are either speedreaders or self-inserters who have a vested interest in misrepresenting the story
Yeah it really is just that. Take chapter 137 for example. Zeke represents nihilism and the terrifying feeling that life may not have a purpose, it's all for nothing. But then the outstanding, unsurprassed le big good Armin comes and says "Man, look at this baseball, see, life is about giving meaning to the small, insignificant things" Monke:" Damn didn't think about that one" Suddenly he saves the day. Zeke kills himself, bye bye nihilism, thanks Armin!. Isayama feels much better, time to go write therapy about my ideal love with a praying mantis.

Did you speedread? He micromanaged the colossals to walk around in a single file. Literally the only collateral were retards who ignored the building regulations and built their homes right up against the walls.
